Up next on the Sprockets game are two releases. First will be "Government Trash/Queen On A Throne",and that one will be released by PRGNT Tapes. Jack is a really cool guy and his band Veloz rules,so I'm especially glad he wants to work with me. First person who knows where that title is referenced will win a prize. Out now (well,as soon as I get the covers back) is the collected works of Giftgas. Entitled "Closed Casket Funeral",this tape gathers both demos and a couple unreleased tracks. Really aggressive and solid,this band comes across like the best parts of '90s Cleveland. Apartment 213. Integrity. Ringworm. Mix that with a healthy dose of fastcore/powerviolence on the blasty parts and you're almost there. I've heard comparisons to modern stuff like Weekend Nachos,which I guess is pretty cool,but I'd point it more in the direction of what I mentioned previously. Just as before,things get shuffled as to what will be out next. Scourged demo is hopefully the first up to bat. If you aren't aware yet,Scourged is members of Weirding Way and Sutured Esophagus. Neither old band is on the same wavelength though. This is Grindcore done with ferocity and vigor. Don't fuck around on this one! If that doesn't come first,maybe the Seeds of Rape demo will be the next one. Ex members of Jesus,Fuck The Sun and Tijuana Religious Ritual. Gnarly powerviolence/sludge. Real gnarly.
